Giorgio Armani is a name synonymous with fashion, style and design. Not only has the Italian designer carved out a sturdy niche at the top of the fashion field, he is now chartered on a path to world domination.
Naturally we’ve been keeping a close eye on Armani/Casa, his home furnishings range that has long sated our lust for sleek contemporary interiors, but the man from Milan isn’t stopping there.
Armani’s newest venture, and no doubt another success to be, is his foray into the world of hospitality with the current development of Armani Hotels and Resorts. Eventually aiming to have a presence in the world’s major cities and resort destinations, Armani’s first fashion forward hotel is to open in Dubai – a city whose appetite for big designer names will no doubt play a welcoming host to such a style conscious concept.
Housed within the Burj Dubai building, set to be the world’s tallest commercial and residential tower, the luxury hotel will offer guests the chance to live a complete Armani lifestyle, from luxuriating in the tranquil spa to eating off porcelain Armani plates in either of the hotel’s gourmet restaurants.
With an air of modern sophistication, each room has been given a bespoke look that has been personally overseen by the man himself. With planned projects in Milan, London and New York, the Armani universe is set to grow into a comprehensive lifestyle brand where style is very much the operative word.
